Crematorium Air Purification System (CAPS)

Powered by Electrostatic Precipitation (ESP) Technology
Product overview

we introduce the CAPS (Crematorium Air Purification System)—a state-of-the-art emission control solution designed specifically to address the unique pollutant profile of crematoria. This system represents a paradigm shift from traditional wet scrubbers to a multi-stage, dry-process filtration architecture.

At the core of the CAPS unit is high-efficiency Electrostatic Precipitation (ESP) technology, engineered to achieve >95% abatement of Particulate Matter (PM2.5/PM10), while simultaneously neutralizing toxic gases (SOx, NOx) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Technical Principle & Process Flow

The CAPS operates on a “Filter-less” 5-stage purification cycle that ensures consistent airflow and minimal back-pressure.

Stage 1: High-Temperature Extraction

Controlled extraction of raw exhaust containing fly ash and soot, ensuring zero fugitive emissions.

Stage 2: Dust Vortex (Pre-Filtration)

A cyclonic stage that uses centrifugal force to separate coarse particulate matter, protecting downstream components.

Stage 3: Electrostatic Precipitation (ESP)

The core engine where high-voltage electrodes ionize fine smoke particles, collecting them on grounded plates to eliminate visible black smoke.

Stage 4: VapoX Chemical Neutralization

Targeting the gaseous phase, this stage neutralizes SOx, NOx, and CO, converting them into stable byproducts like gypsum.

Stage 5: Clean Air Release

The final effluent is purified, odorless, and fully compliant with CPCB and NCAP standards.

🌱 Have Questions

Frequently Asked Questions about CAPS

How does CAPS differ from traditional wet scrubbers?

The CAPS system utilizes a “dry-process” filtration architecture, which is a significant paradigm shift from traditional wet scrubbers. Unlike wet scrubbers that generate hazardous sludge water, our system uses specific reagents to convert harmful gases into stable, usable byproducts like gypsum and limestone, promoting a circular economy.

No. The CAPS unit features a “Filter-less” architecture. This eliminates the recurring Operational Expenditure (OPEX) and downtime associated with changing choked fabric bags or HEPA filters found in conventional bag-house systems.

Yes. The air released from the CAPS unit complies with, and often exceeds, the stringent emission standards set by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) for Green Crematoria.

Can CAPS be installed on existing cremation furnaces?

Absolutely. As an authorized partner, we provide technical assessments for both retrofitting existing infrastructure and new installations. The open-flow design ensures minimal back-pressure, allowing the furnace to maintain optimal draft.

While the Electrostatic Precipitation (ESP) stage removes solid particulates, the VapoX Treatment stage targets the gaseous phase. It uses advanced oxidation to neutralize pollutants like Sulphur Oxides (SOx), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), and odorous VOCs.
